What gemstones are you specialised in?

We specialise in Ceylon natural sapphires, renowned for their exceptional colour, brilliance and quality. Each sapphire is carefully selected to meet our high standards of authenticity and beauty.

Yes. We offer natural Australian sapphires, known for their unique character and rich colour tones.

Yes. All of our gemstones are natural and genuine. Natural stones may contain inclusions or slight colour variations. These are part of their unique character and not faults.

Some gemstones may undergo industry accepted treatments, such as heat enhancement to improve colour. If a stone has received any treatment including heat, we will always disclose this clearly at the time of sale.

No. We do not sell synthetic, lab created, lab grown, beryllium treated or diffusion treated gemstones.

  • Natural gemstones – Formed in the earth over millions of years.
  • Treated gemstones – Natural stones that have undergone industry accepted enhancements (such as heat) to improve colour or clarity.
  • Synthetic, lab created or lab grown gemstones – Man-made in a laboratory and are not naturally formed.

Yes. Almost all of our gemstones are accompanied by certification to confirm their authenticity, quality, and key characteristics

Yes. For approved trade clients only. Stones provided on approval remain the property of Tusk Gallery during the approval period.

The standard approval period is five (5) business days from delivery, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Yes. We can reserve a gemstone for up to five (5) business days with a deposit. The deposit goes toward your final purchase.

Yes. Selected loose gemstones may be eligible for return within three (3) business days of delivery, subject to written approval. The gemstone must be unmounted, unaltered and returned with all original documentation.

Yes. We source gemstones through our trusted Australian and international suppliers based on your requested specifications.

Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure or source a gemstone. This deposit is applied toward your final purchase.

No. Due to the unique and custom nature of sourced gemstones,all gemstone sourcing transactions are final sale.

Yes. We specialise in bespoke jewellery, individually designed and handcrafted to order.

We recommend contacting us three to four months before your planned proposal, wedding, anniversary or birthday. Starting early ensures a smooth, considered process without unnecessary time pressure.

This allows time for:

  • Selecting the perfect sapphire or other gemstones.
  • A personalized design consultation, either with your ideas or with our bespoke design guidance.
  • Preparation of a detailed quotation and confirmation of anon-refundable deposit.
  • CAD design development and your approval before manufacturing.
  • Handcrafting by our jeweller and production updates via your customer account.
  • Final photos and videos provided for approval, with minor refinements if needed.
  • Final invoiced payment in full prior to collection or delivery.
  • Final finishing, comprehensive quality checks and private collection or insured shipping.

Starting early ensures thoughtful design decisions and the highest standard of craftsmanship.

Can I supply my own gemstone(s) or gold?

No. We do not accept client supplied gemstones or metals. All materials are sourced exclusively by Tusk Gallery to ensure quality, integrity and compliance.

No. Custom made jewelleries are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged, unless the item is faulty or not as described in the final invoice, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Ready to wear jewellery includes completed pieces that are available for immediate purchase and do not require custom design or modification.

Yes. Eligible ready to wear items may be returned within three (3) business days of delivery or in store collection, provided the item is unworn, unaltered and returned with all original packaging and certification.

Returns will not be accepted for:

  • Items that have been resized, customised or altered
  • Pieces showing signs of wear or damage
  • Items returned without original packaging or certification
  • Change of mind outside the stated return period

Yes. Rare and collector grade gemstones are available exclusively to registered and approved clients.

Collector stones are available via private enquiry only due to rarity and market sensitivity. Pricing is shared with approved clients.

Yes. All of our collector grade gemstones come with a GIA (Gemmological Institute of America) certificate, guaranteeing their provenance, quality, and detailed gemmological characteristics.

No. Collector grade gemstones are final sale due to their unique and rare nature. Returns are only accepted if the gemstone is faulty or does not match the description provided in the final invoice, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

This policy ensures we can continue to offer exclusive, one-of-a-kind gemstones while maintaining their quality and integrity for all customers.

Yes. Instalment options may be available for approved clients. All instalments including delivery charges, must be paid in full before the item is released.

Ownership transfers once full payment has cleared. Risk transfers upon confirmed delivery or in store collection. We recommend arranging personal insurance immediately.

Gemstones may be viewed in person strictly by appointment for registered customers only at our private showroom located at: Suite 312, Level 3, 227 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000

Yes. Concierge visits may be available for trade registered customers by prior arrangement.

Yes. Nothing in our policies excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law. If a product has a major fault or is not as described, remedies will be provided as required by law.
